Gerald “Jerry” Allen Stamper

Wheelersburg-Gerald “Jerry” Allen Stamper, 74, of Wheelersburg, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at his residence. Jerry was born October 14, 1943 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Bernice and Kathleen Jenkins Stamper. He was retired as an Engineer for N&S Railway and belonged to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers; he also belonged to the ATA, (Amateur Trap Shooters of America) and he was of the Baptist faith. In retirement, Jerry loved to hunt and fish and he especially loved his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Kay Williams Stamper, March 8, 2010, whom he married May 30, 1964 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Stamper. Jerry is survived by three sons, Scott (Amy) Stamper, Terry (Jennifer) Stamper and John (Amy) Stamper and six grandchildren, JJ, Jarrett, Brayden, Grant, Riley and Lauren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park at the convenience of the family. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
