Michael Thomas Brannigan

Wheelersburg-Michael Thomas Brannigan, 74, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at SOMC in Portsmouth, Ohio. Michael was born March 25, 1944 in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late Charles and Opal Blevins Brannigan. He had worked as a molder for Ironton Iron and he is of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Marie Chatfield Brannigan February 11, 2005, whom he married July 23, 1963 in Powellsville, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Brannigan; two brothers, Carl and James Brannigan and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Brannigan. Michael is survived by a son, Michael C. (Tina) Brannigan; three daughters, Brenda (Earnie) Curtis, Teresa (Ronald) Crum and Kay Brannigan; three brothers, Robert, Tony and Jack Brannigan; six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with Pastor Mike Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Furnace Cemetery.
