Wanda Louise Bays

Wheelersburg-Wanda Louise Bays, 90, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at SOMC in Portsmouth. Wanda was born July 14, 1928 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late James and Mary Emory Dickison. Wanda had worked as a Lass Operator at the former Williams Shoe Factory and she is a member of Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Willard Bays, Sr. whom she married May 20, 1961 in Portsmouth. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Bays; a son, John W. Bays, II and a brother, Marion Leslie Dickison. Wanda is survived by five sons, Christopher (Kathy) Shepard, James (Vicki) Bays, Jason (Kristen) Bays, Randy Bays and David Bays; a daughter, Jane Smith; two sisters, Nellie Mayberry and Peggy Cambell; twenty-four grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Ronnie Blevins officiating. Interment will follow in South Webster Cemetery.
