I was blessed to work with Coach McDavid as a fellow assistant coach for 3 plus seasons at Portsmouth West H.S. I was not surprised to see in his Obit. that he had earned an award in 1996 as a Most Caring Coach, since that is what I admired most about him. He blessed the young men of PWHS Football and the rest of us with his genuine care for their well being and the competitive fire in his nature. He always had a funny story to tell and a smile on his face. He spent his life positively impacting everyone who knew and loved him. I pray that God will mend your broken hearts and I count it a privilege to have been one of those who was blessed by his life.
