Arlene “Carol” Collingsworth

WHEELERSBURG-Arlene “Carol” Collingsworth, 79, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in McDermott. Carol was born November 6, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Bill Griffey and Miriam Griffey. She had been employed as an input technician for Nationwide. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Collingsworth. Carol is survived by her husband Jerry Albert Collingsworth whom she married November 7, 1958 in Wheelersburg. She is also survived by a son, Jerry Lee (Tammy) Collingsworth; a daughter, Robin (Zach) Dunham; a sister, Wilma Johnson and two grandchildren, Ashley and Chad Kuhlwein and Scott and Stephanie Dunham.

Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Andy Ramey officiating. Interment will follow in Wheelersburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, September 8, 2020 and one hour before the service on Wednesday. My condolences to you Albert, Jerry, Robin and the rest of your lovely family. I have a loving place in my heart for you all. Growing up with horses was amazing. Carol and your family taught me so much and treated me as family. She will be deeply missed and my memories of her cherished in my heart forever. God bless you all!

So sorry to hear of carols' passing. I'm sure Gwen will be also. We both thought the world of her and Jerry. They were so good to help us when Gwen had her horses. She will be sorely missed. May God be with you Jerry and the rest of the family.
