Roger Lee Otworth
FRANKLIN FURNACE-Roger Lee Otworth, 73, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at SOMC in Portsmouth. Roger was born September 21, 1947 in Portsmouth to the late Charles “Jim” Otworth and Helen Riepenhoff Otworth. Roger was employed as a Chemical Operator for Aristech Chemical. He is a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and a member of the American Legion. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Kelley. Roger is survived by a daughter, Tara Otworth; a son, Ronald (Sara) Otworth; a brother, James Moose Otworth; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Russell, Bobbi-Leigh Johnson, Jessi Johnson, Gunnar Lee Otworth and Raylan Cash Otworth and his fiancée of 25 years, Jane Crisp.
Mass of Christian burial for Roger will be 12:00 noon Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church with Fr Joseph Yokum officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg Tuesday, 10:00 am until the noon service.
