Rev. Betty (Holsinger) Riley

Rev. Betty (Holsinger) Riley, 86, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at Rosemount Pavilion. Betty was born November 7, 1934, a daughter of the late Arthur Holsinger and Clara Conley. Betty was a retired school bus driver and a pastor for 30 years at Pentecostal Victory Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Riley; three sons, Jerry Riley, Richard Riley, Bruce Riley and one daughter, Sharon Pace. Betty is survived by five sons, Rodney (Carmen) (Holsinger) Riley, Clifford (Janie) Riley, Joe (Kelly) Riley, John David (Judy) Riley, Rick (Kris) Riley; three daughters, Barbara Pettry, Linda (Don) Dillow, Johnna (Butch) Stapleton; two brothers, Virgil Holsinger and Greg Holsinger; two sisters, Vicky Fannin and Marlene Queen. She was Granny to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her church and her congregation. God was her strength. She always said “ain’t no grave gonna hold this body down.”

Services for Betty will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Tara Gillum officiating. Interment will be in Buckeye Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, August 31, 2021 and one hour before the 11:00 am service on Wednesday.
