Betsy Sue Pelphrey

LUCASVILLE-Betsy Sue Pelphrey, 87, of Lucasville, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Betsy was born March 8, 1934 in Scioto County to the late Orville Bayless Sr. and Ruby E. Poole Bayless. In addition to her parents, Betsy was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville Bayless, Jr. and William Mitchell Bayless and two sisters, Marlyn Marie Sword and Janice Carolyn Reed. Betsy is survived by two sons, Robert Keith (Lorinda) Pelphrey and Todd Wesley (Angie) Pelphrey; a brother, Charles Franklin (Judy) Bayless; a sister, Patricia Boyle; two granddaughters, Erica Leah Moore and Makenna Faith Pelphrey; a grandson, Andy Johnson and one great granddaughter, Olivia Nevaeh Moore.

Services for Betsy will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Interment will be in Orm Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service. Due to family health conditions, the family requests people to please wear a mask.
