Joan Martin
NEW BOSTON-Joan Martin, 84, of New Boston, peacefully departed this life, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in McDermott. Joan was born and raised in Scioto County, growing up in South Webster, first daughter of Chaldo and Edith Lewis, sister to Mike, Kenny, and Danny Lewis, all deceased. Joan was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Van Martin. Joan was a loving mother of two sons, Jeff and Tim Martin; three grandchildren, Brian Bowman, Ashlay Crosson and Brent Martin; a daughter-in-law, Becky Martin, wife of Jeff Martin and a sister, Carolyn Keaton, who currently resides in Delaware and many great grandchildren. Thanks goes out to all the great staff at Rest Haven, Heritage Square and Hospice for all the wonderful care they gave Joan.
Services for Joan will be 1:00 pm Friday, October 15, 2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
