Sandra “Ginger” Leigh Ruggles

FRANKLIN FURNACE-Sandra “Ginger” Leigh Ruggles, 75, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. Sandra was born November 18, 1946 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Clyde Bell and Virginia Adams Bell. Sandra was a U. S. Army Veteran and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by two sons, Harry Cruen “Butch” Long and Charles David “Ralph” Ruggles, Jr.; two brothers, Charles Bell and David Bell and a sister, Cathy Kirby. Sandra is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Ruggles, whom she married October 5, 1968 in Portsmouth, Ohio. She is also survived by a daughter, Melissa Kilpatrick, (David Kinker); two brothers, Brian Bell and Tommy Bell; five sisters, Jeanne Jordan, Clara Shaffer, Vickie Moore, Cindy Floyd and Jessie Cobb and grandchildren, Austin Kilpatrick, Noah Kilpatrick, Charleigh Ann Kilpatrick and Austin Kinker.

Services for Sandra will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Randy Patrick officiating and Military graveside rites following in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday and one hour before the 11:00 am service on Wednesday. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
