FRANKLIN FURNACE-Chester Eugene Coburn, 84, of Franklin Furnace passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at his home. Chester was born June 27, 1937 in Union County, KY to the late Chester W. Coburn and Oma Green Coburn. Chester was retired from N & W Railway where he was employed as a Brakeman. He was a member of Nauvoo Masonic Lodge #769. preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Roger and Ronnie and two sisters, Irene Edwards and Janet Schneider. Chester is survived by a son, Greg (Debbie) Coburn; a daughter, Gena French; two sisters, Opal Lahrmar and Brenda Young; four grandchildren, Mandy Delabar, Matt Coburn, Ali Robinson and Cheyanne French and five great grandchildren, Riley, Reagan, Remy, Aubree and Natalie. Also surviving is his loving companion of 20 years, Pam Postma.
Services for Chester will be 10:30 am Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Danny Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00-8:00 pm Monday, May 16, 2022 and one hour before the 10:30 am service on Tuesday. There will be a Masonic Service for Chester at 8:00 pm Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial contributions be made in Chester’s name to Nauvoo Masonic Lodge #769 Scholarship Fund, 1356 4th Street, West Portsmouth, OH 45663.
