Timothy Andrew Bowen

MILLINGTON, TN-Timothy Andrew Bowen, 66, of Millington, TN, formerly of Wheelersburg, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at his home. Tim was born January 5, 1956 in Portsmouth to the late Clarence and Beatrice Krull Bowen. He retired from the Marine Corp after serving 20 years and was retired from Memphis City Schools after working 20 years. Tim was of the Catholic faith. In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by siblings; Tom, Alan, Ruth Ann, Phyllis, Jane, Sharon and Diana. Tim is survived by his wife, Kathy Rich Bowen whom he married February 12, 1978 in West Islip, NY. Tim is also survived by two sons, Sean (Hope) Bowen and Kyle (Stella) Bowen; a daughter, Windy (Willie) Hammontree; siblings, Bruce, John, Russ, Mike, Paul, Charles, Leah Miller, Melanie Parlin, Julia Spradlin and eleven grandchildren.

Graveside services for Tim will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 21, 2022 at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Deacon Terry Acox officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, May 20, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with recital of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Tim was the finest of teachers and mentor. Independent and creative in the classroom. He challenged his students and prepared them to give their personal best. Tim's student advanced from his classes with "Esprit de Corps." My deepest sympathy for the Bowen family.
