Roger Gene Oppy
WHEELERSBURG-Roger Gene Oppy, 81, of Wheelersburg, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at his home. Roger was born August 11, 1940 in South Webster to the late Fred Oppy and Iva Mae Rawlins Oppy. Roger was a high school graduate and was employed as a truck driver for Rydeg Logistics. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Call Oppy; brothers, Earl M. Oppy, Carl G. Oppy, Lester L. Oppy, Paul F. Oppy and Arthur P. Oppy and a daughter, Rita Casebolt. Roger is survived by his wife, Brenda Allen Oppy; two sons, Jeff (Linda) Oppy and Randy (Tammy) Oppy; three daughters, Connie Sue (Ryan) Williams and Cynthia (Andy) Mullins, and Linda (John) Cunningham; two sisters, Fern Ginn and Sharon Shuff; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Memorial services for Roger will be 5:00-9:00 pm Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Wheelersburg Community Center. Military graveside services for Roger will be at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens, at the convenience of the family.
