Madonna Sue Adkins

WHEELERSBURG-Madonna Sue Adkins, 77, loving mother and grandmother, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at SOMC ER. Madonna was born November 4, 1945 in Scioto County to the late Elton Loop and Elnora Kitchen Loop. She was formerly employed at Deemer’s Market as a cashier. Madonna loved to have game night, cookouts and spending time with the family. She loved to paint and was very inspirational in her Grandchildren’s lives. Madonna married the love of her life, Ronald W. Adkins, June 7, 1965, and was married for 45 years until Ronald’s passing in 2011. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Monte Steve Loop and a sister, Sharon Cooper. Madonna is survived by a son, Ronald “Buddy” W. Adkins, II; a daughter, Angela (Ryan) Swords; two grandchildren, Lance Swords and Chelsea Swords and a grandson, Creed.

At the request of Madonna an intimate service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Jeremy Moore officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive family and close friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 16th from noon until 1:00 pm. There will be a bereavement dinner provided by Dogwood Freewill Baptist Church after the service. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
