Barbara Jean Cantwell (Anderson) age 90 passed away peacefully on Monday May 1, 2023

To many known as “Ms Cantwell” your favorite teacher at Green Elementary Barbara was also a loving Mother and Grandmother. Barbara was born August 18, 1932 to Minnie and Thornton Anderson

Barbara was instilled with a strong work ethic working various occupations at Martings Department Store, Selby Shoe Company but her most rewarding was being a Teacher. Her playful spirit and compassionate heart imprinted the wonder and joy of learning in her family as well as in countless students throughout her teaching career of 26 years.

Always up for a fun time from younger years at dreamland pool swim dances to more recent years playing Bingo and Painting. Her favorite Holiday was Easter and loved all things Chocolate.

In addition to her parents Barbara is proceeded in death by husband Harlie Cantwell. Surviving are one son Terry Cantwell. Grandchildren Holly (Larry Penix), Andrew (Baylee Irgang) and Jordan (Tyler Shonkwiler). Great grandchildren Yuuki Thomas, Colt and Crew Shonkwiler. Former daughter in law Ruth Cantwell

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday May 5, 2023 at 1:00pm at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home with graveside at services following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends and Family may call from Noon-1pm
