Orville Lee Ison
WHEELERSBURG-Orville Lee Ison, 85, of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Orville was born June 13, 1938 in Porter Township, Scioto County to the late Roy Ison and Lula Collins Ison. Orville was a high school graduate and retired as a Supervisor from Kaiser Aluminum. He was of the Baptist faith. Orville loved to go to Florida to fish and his hobby was buying and selling farm equipment. In addition to his parents, Orville was preceded in death by his wives, Lillian Smith Ison and Glenna Sue Whitt Ison; brothers, Lloyd and Harold; sisters, Christina Stelli, Juanita Burchett, Joyce Thomas, Joan Williams, Evelyn Bickett, Marcella Jackson and a stepdaughter, Sherry Cremeans. Orville is survived by two brothers, David Ison and Arnold Ison; stepsons, Cloyd Smith Cremeans, Gregory and David Roberts and many family members and friends.
Services for Orville will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastors Gary Arthurs and Jacob Ison officiating. Interment will be in Junior Furnace Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service.
