Bernita Jean Richmond

WHEELERSBURG-Bernita Jean Richmond, 85, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Bernita was born April 1, 1939 in Portsmouth to the late Leonard Grant and Alma Jeanette Weaver Grant. In addition to her parents, Bernita was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Richmond in 2008; a son, James Eric Richmond; a brother, William Grant and a great grandson, Bo Cartee. Bernita is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Eric) Pitts; a sister, Sandra Ramey; five grandchildren, Hank Cartee, Chelsee Ramsey, Michael Richmond, Cayden Richmond and Weston Richmond and three great grandchildren, Remmington and Huck Ramsey and Knash Cartee.

Graveside services for Bernita will be 12:00 noon Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Vernon Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Moore officiating. Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-Pyles.com.
