Gary Dale Bickett

WHEELERSBURG-Gary Dale Bickett, 85, of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. Gary was born November 7, 1939 in Portsmouth to the late Sherman Bickett and Doris O’Neal Bickett. Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed by Plumber’s and Pipefitter’s out of Local 577 and he was a member of Cornerstone Church of Nazarene. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife Evylan Ison Bickett; a daughter-in-law, Sally Bickett and a sister, Judy Bickett. Gary is survived by a son, Randy Bickett of Columbus; a daughter, Cynthia (John) Whitely; four grandchildren, Kimberly McSweeney (Josh), Jennifer Bickett, Jodie Bickett and Matt Bickett and five great grandchildren. The family requests memorial contributions be made to SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.

Services for Gary will be 7:00 pm Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Cornerstone Church of Nazarene with Pastor Matt Hancock officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the church 5:00 pm until the 7:00 pm service. Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg has been entrusted with the arrangements.
