Helen Lou Wesney, 93, of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Concord Nursing & Rehab in Wheelersburg. She was born December 19, 2025 in Waterloo, Lawrence County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Glen and Rosa (Stewart) Wiseman. She was a child care provider and attended Wheelersburg Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Richard E. Wesney; three sons, Gregory D. Wesney, Paul R. Wesney, Jon T. (Michelle) Wesney; one daughter, Amy Defoe; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four sisters, Phyllis Wiseman, Sue Ruff, Margaret Ashworth, Mary Keys, and one sister-in-law, Joyce Wiseman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Wiseman; one son-in-law, David Defoe, and a daughter-in-law, Greg’s wife, Sue Wesney.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Wheelersburg Methodist Church with Pastor Randy Bratka and Ralph Clay officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
