Larry Blevins Sr.
1956 - 2026

Larry Dale “Bozo” Blevins Sr, 69, of Franklin Furnace, OH passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2026, at his King’s Daughter Medical Center, Ashland, KY. He was born November 18, 1956, to the late James Everett and Julia (Russell) Blevins and survived by his wife, Betty (Spradlin) Blevins, whom he married on February 26, 1978. Larry graduated from South Webster High School and drove school bus for Wheelersburg and Green Township School Districts and was the Green Township Cemetery Caretaker for 26 years. He enjoyed hunting and target practicing, but nothing gave him more joy than being with his family. Larry was a member of 3:16 Ministries. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Virgil Blevins and six sisters: Wanda Welch, Claris Blackburn, Marie Russell, Mary Blevins, Geraldine Sperry and Pamela Murphy. Along with his wife, those left to celebrate his life are his five children: Joseph (Stephanie) Fisher, Jessica (James) Burchett, Larry Dale Jr (Wendy) Blevins, Amy Byrd and Adam Blevins; three brothers: David (Glora) Blevins, LeRoy (Sharon) Blevins and Paul (Marcella) Blevins; twenty grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, friends and family that will miss him greatly. A funeral service will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH with Pastors Mark Bails and LeRoy Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Haverhill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to his family.
