Norbert Fenbert
1938 - 2026
Norbert “Norb” Frank Fenbert, 88, of Wheelersburg, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Portsmouth Health and Rehab Facility. He was born February 9, 1938, to the late Bernard and Regina (Wolke) Fenbert, and is survived by his wife, Mary Rosalie (Ziegler) Fenbert, whom he married on September 5, 1959.
After Norb graduated high school, he proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army from 1956-1962, serving in the 3rd Armored Division as a tank operator while stationed in Germany. He was a retired supervisor of the Styrofoam/Ethafoam Division at Dow Chemical in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Fenbert; one brother, Richard Fenbert; and three sisters: Kate Schroeder, Mildred Fenbert, and Juanita Westrick.
Along with his wife, those left to celebrate his life are two daughters: Cheri (Jack) Thomas and Lisa (Roger) Carmichael; a sister, Judy Miller; grandchildren: Vanessa (Mike) Rogich, Kristan (James) Conkey, Nathan (Lindsay) Thomas, Nicole (Shane) Slack, Garrett (Katie) Carmichael, and Xander Carmichael; along with nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Peter’s in Chains in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Visitation will be on February 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m., with Mass to follow. Interment with military honors will be at Memorial Burial Park immediately following mass. Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home of Wheelersburg, Oh is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to either the Knights of Columbus or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
