Velma Frazier
1954 - 2026
Velma Jean Frazier, 72, of Greenup, KY, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 25, 1954, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Paul Oppy and Norma Jean (Pyles) Molin. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kermit Frazier.
Velma grew up in the Wheelersburg area and attended Wheelersburg High School. August 18, 1972, she married the love of her life, Kermit, and began raising their family, and dedicating her life to caring for them and spending as much time with them as possible. She enjoyed collecting primitive items, crafting, and woodworking and was a wonderful cook. Taking care of her family and home was her priority in life and she will be missed dearly by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Pascha Renee Frazier and a brother: Terry Reeder.
Along with her husband, those left to celebrate her life are a son: Kerm Frazier; a brother: Bob Reeder; a sister: Essie Reeder; two grandsons: Tyler and Tucker Frazier and two great granddaughters: Finlee and Evelynn Frazier.
A funeral service will be 1:00pm, Thursday, July23, 2026, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH with Pastor Chad Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Furnace Cemetery, beside her precious daughter. Visitation will be 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
