Martha J Akers, 91, of Ironton, OH, passed away Monday, November 2, 2026, at the Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley Nursing Facility. She was born September 12, 1935, in Scioto County, OH to the late Clarence and Ruth (Dettwiller) Hughes and also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Akers, July 27, 1990, and her son, Brian Akers. A funeral service will be 11:00am, Friday, November 6, 2026, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH. Burial will follow in Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
