Earl Eugene “Gene” Porter

PORTSMOUTH-Earl Eugene “Gene” Porter, 72, of Portsmouth, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Wheelersburg. Gene was born December 20, 1950 in Portsmouth to the late Paul Eugene Porter and Betty Ray Selvey Porter. Gene was a Heavy Equipment Operator working out of Local 18 and 181 Operating Engineers. Serving in the US Navy, Gene was a Vietnam Veteran. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by a son, Paul Porter. Gene is survived by a daughter, Stacy Spence; two sons, Lucas Chase Porter (Serena Sorich Porter) and Jacob Heath Porter; three brothers, Paul, Charles and Ed Porter; a sister, Sue Goodman and three grandchildren, Sydney Taylor Adams, Jocelyn Porter and Niya Porter.
