Ruby R. Booten

WHEELERSBURG-Ruby R. Booten, 100, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Best Care Health and Rehab Center in Wheelersburg. Ruby was born October 7, 1923 in Morehead, KY to the late Celle Ernst Royse and Nannie Florence Alderman Royse. Ruby graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1941. She retired as a Nursing Assistant after 10 years; she was a member of Wheelersburg Methodist Church and she is a Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star #516, Wheelersburg, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Ernest Stark and Bernard Booten, two sons, George R. Stark (Cindy) and Charles P. Stark; two daughters, Sharon Chamberlin and Patricia Cooper and three brothers, Paul E. Royse, Roy E. Royse and Elmer Royse. Ruby is survived by a daughter-in-law, Shannon Stark; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

Services for Ruby will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
