Allen Leon McGahan

SOUTH WEBSTER-Allen Leon McGahan, 77, of South Webster, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Best Care Health and Rehab in Wheelersburg. Allen was born September 23, 1946 in Scioto County to the late Leonidas Kermit McGahan and Effie Francis Wesley McGahan. Allen retired as a custodian at Wheelersburg High School after 17 years and worked at Bihl’s Farm since he was 16. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by four brothers, Ken, Jack, Hoy and Edward McGahan and three sisters, Freda Bright, Shirley Gutierrez and Anna McGahan. Allen is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosemary Rawlins McGahan, whom he married January 27, 1973 in Garden City. He is also survived by two sons, Ryan and Stephanie McGahan of Wheelersburg and Brandon and Elisa McGahan of PA; a brother, Ike and Shirley McGahan; a sister, Susan Sweeney and four grandchildren, Peyton, Brody, Benjamin and Emma.

Services for Allen will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Shawn Howard Officiating. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
