Joan Marie Blankenship

NEW LEXINGTON-Joan Marie Blankenship, Barker, Lambert passed away on February 13, 2024 at the New Lexington Care and Rehab Center in New Lexington, OH. Joan was born to parents Hilda and James Blankenship on April 9, 1937. Spending most of her life in Ironton, OH. She loved to travel and explore. She was always up for new adventures. Joan was known to her family and friends as a loving, kind, and giving person. She was a wonderful cook, baker, gardener, and caregiver. Beloved by all who knew her. Joan was preceded in death by her parents Hilda and James Blankenship, her husband Ronald Lambert, son Craig Barker and great grandson Mason McClellan. She is survived by her son Donald Barker and wife Sherri, Daughter Tracy McClellan and husband Mark. Granddaughters Stephanie Holmes, Meagan Gearin, Katlyn Sturgill, and Shannon Daniels. Grandsons Mark McClellan and Erik McClellan. Great granddaughters Lilly McClellan, Remington Sturgill, Aspen, and Ella Holmes. Great grandsons Maverick McClellan and Damian Daniels. Joan lived for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Carol Cook, Gay Gilmore Price and brother D. L. Blankenship.

The celebration of life will be at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, Ohio 45694 on February 20, 2024 at 11:00am. Interment will be at Haverhill Cemetery after visitation, where she will join her beloved husband, Ronnie. Please wear Happy Colors. Joan’s favorite color was pink. This is a Celebration of Life and she lived life to its fullest!
