MINFORD-Betty “Sweetie Pie” Evans, 89, of Minford, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was born on December 4, 1934. Betty was a member of Cedar Street Church of New Boston, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Don Evans, parents, Frank and Beulah Johnson, son, Ronald and great-grandson, Kyle. Betty, affectionately known as “Sweetie Pie” leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her siblings, Roy (Elsie) Johnson and Pauline Rupert; her children, Deborah McCutcheon, Donand (Jean) Evans, James (Judy) Evans and Barb (Mark) Williams, 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Betty will be 11:00 am Monday, March 11, 2024 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastors Frank Stidham and Brad Angus officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the funeral home and one hour before the 11:00 am service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to SOMC Hospice Center of Portsmouth in memory of Betty Evans.
