Judith Ruggles
1938 - 2024

FRANKLIN FURNACE - Judith Ann Ruggles, 85 of

Franklin Furnace, Ohio went home to be with the

Lord on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Hillview

Retirement Center. Judith was born October 10,

1938 to Barton and Ruth Maguire (Reiniger). Judith

retired from Ashland Oil after 25 years of service

working in the payroll department. She was the

former treasurer at Plymouth Heights Church of the

Nazarene and served as the choir director for many

years. Judith loved working in her garden, making

birthday cakes, and sewing prize winning quilts and

afghans. Judith was preceded in death by her first

husband in 1976, Carl Moore (JC) and her second

husband Harold “Fid” Ruggles in 2014. Judith is

survived by her two sisters, Carolyn Wagner (Dave) and Kathy Craig (Roger); a brother, Jeff Maguire (Tina); sons, Phil Moore (Brenda) and Mark Moore (Tiffany); two grandchildren, Lindsay Adkins (David) and Savannah Moore; two great grandchildren, Kaylie Moore and Luke Adkins; many beloved nieces and nephews and her best friend Ruby Kearns.

Services for Judith will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 20, 2024 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Andy Ramey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
