Roger McNutt
1934 - 2024
Roger Glen McNutt, 90, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at his residence. He was born August 7, 1934 in Scioto County, a son of the late John D. and Elizabeth Maynard McNutt, and he was a Millwright at Cyclops Corp. He attended Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene, was a member of Western Sun Lodge #91 of Wheelersburg, and was a U.S. Army veteran. Roger had many hobbies, some of which included playing the guitar at church, had several antique cars, and he loved tinkering in the garage.
He is survived by one son, Jason (Jessica) McIlhenny; four daughters, Dana (Jeffery) Jones, Debbie (Kevin) Akers, Dianna (Eric) Keister, Denise (Kenn) Mengerink; 13 grandchildren, Lauren, Logan, Stacia, Makayla, Sylas, Brandon, Nathan, Abbey, Alyssa, Reid, Reagan, Kinslee, Elic, and three great grandchildren, Blair, Augusta, Drew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Wilma Vanhorn McNutt.
Visitation will be held at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to Noon. Private services will follow with Pastor Andy Ramey.
