Patricia Rowe
1941 - 2024
Patricia Louise Mathis Rowe
83, of Franklin Furnace was welcomed by her Heavenly Father Friday, November 22, 2024 surrounded by her husband and daughters. She was the Loving wife of Larry R. Rowe. Mother and best friend to 3 daughters, Twila, Lawana & Vonda. She was born July 11, 1941 in New Boston, Ohio, the 9th of 18 children. She was a 1959 graduate of Glenwood High School. She was the sister all her siblings could depend on.
Patricia loved to bowl. She bowled in leagues all her life and has taken many bowling trips with “the girls” to state and national tournaments. She leaves behind many fellow bowlers and friends from Ironton and Portsmouth. She loved to sew and make quilts. For many years she sewed with the ladies at Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene and made ragtime quilts for every graduate. She also made a special quilt for every grandchild for graduation!
You could always find her and Larry at the grandkid’s ballgames. They were very supportive! Mom served her family and church selflessly. She taught little ones in Sunday School and loved it! She was a wonderful Mammaw and Great Mammaw.
She is survived by her husband Larry, whom she married December 14, 1963 in New Boston. Three daughters, Twila (Fred) Dicks, Lawana (Gabe) Patterson and Vonda Bergan. 10 grandchildren, Gage(Steffany)Patterson, Kelsea(Dustin)Hube, Jacob(Madison)Patterson, Makenna Patterson, Jase(Maggie)Patterson, Kasey(Taylor)Doerr, Garrett Dicks, Kinley(Cristóbal)Encina, Mallory Bergan and Titus Patterson. Great grandchildren, Claire & Elias Hube, Quinn, Camilla & Roslyn Patterson, Maddox & Decker Patterson, Emilia Encina, and soon to be Baby Doerr. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Bernie Ellis, Paul Raymond, Norma, Lonnie, James, Leeta, Mary Alice, Bonnie, Nora, Ed and Michael Dean. A special brother-in-law, Tom Pelphrey, and sister-in-law Lacy Louise Mathis.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 25, 2024 from 4 - 7 PM at Harrison Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Funeral services will be held immediately following with Pastor Andy Ramey officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday 11 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
A Very Special thank you to Pastor Andy Ramey and The Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene, Dave Schug and members of Woodland Chapel and Community Hospice of Ashland. Her nurses and caregivers were wonderful.
