Loveada “Margie” FergusonLoveada “Margie” Ferguson, 84, of Wheelersburg, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Concord Nursing and Rehabilitation. Margie was born August 30, 1940, in Holden, WV to the late Paul Zekany and Loveada Hall Zekany Baird. She was employed as an insurance agent with Nationwide Insurance and was a member of the Wheelersburg Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Baird. Margie is survived by her husband, Stanley Ferguson, whom she married October 12, 1963, at Pecks Mill Methodist Church. Also surviving is a son, Stanley Ferguson, Jr., and two daughters, Karen (Rick) England and Stacey Ferguson; two grandchildren, Jill (Jordan) Bivins and Stephen England and three great grandchildren, Jessica, Colin and Owen.

Margie was a devout Christian who served her church and community with love. She was immersed in the adult and children choirs, taught Sunday School and was active in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Her love of nature was nurtured by photography, camping and hiking, with one of her biggest achievements being 100 miles of the Appalachian Trail. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 pm service Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens in Chapmanville, WV at noon on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.

Margie was one of the nicest people I ever met. She was friendly and kind and had a great sense of humor. Sincere condolences to Stan, Stan,Jr, Stacey, and the rest of her family. She will be missed.
