Sylvia Munion
1949 - 2025
Sylvia Ruth Munion, 76, of Portsmouth, OH, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1949, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Harold and Mary (Leslie) Moore and also preceded in death by her husband, James Munion, whom she married May 22, 1965. Sylvia was a wonderful mother to her seven children: James Anthony Munion, Timothy Ray Munion, Terry Eugene Munion, Jon Erik Gregory Munion, Angela Lynn Ross, Mary Ann Johnson and Laura Beth Munion. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Garrett, Ronnie and Donnie Moore. A funeral service will be 1:00pm, Friday, December 12, 2025, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Sylvia was a very close cousin which we grew up together. We lost contact over the years. We had our families and lived a distance away but I did think about her and our childhood memories. Unfortunately life and our busy lives got in the way. It shouldn't but it does. Our love, thoughts and prayers goes out to the family. God bless! RIP Sylvia you will always be loved and very missed.
