James Caleb Moore, Sr.James Caleb Moore Sr, 79, of Franklin Furnace, OH, passed away, Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his residence. He was born September 3, 1946, in Rome, OH, the son of the late Jesse and Mary (Crum) Moore and is survived by his wife of 20 years, Oma (Jenkins) Moore. James attended Wheelersburg schools and in his younger years, operated a sawmill in the local area. He worked as a Security Supervisor for Wackenhut, until his retirement. He attended Jeannettes Creek Baptist Church in Franklin Furnace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Madeline Sue (Boggs) Moore; a son: Robert Moore; five brothers: Toby Moore, Robert Moore, William Moore, Donald Moore and Richard Moore; two sisters: Thelma Farrell and Janet Ferguson. Along with his wife, Oma, he is survived by his children: James (Tammy) Moore Jr, Stacey (Irene) Moore, Billy (Lisa) Moore and Christy Castro; a stepson: Bobby (Joy) Colvin and stepdaughter: Kim (Tony) Dehart, a brother: Tom (Debbie) Moore and many friend and family that will miss him. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH with Pastor Rick Mollett officiating. Burial will follow in Haverhill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
